I'm continuing my wife Sofia Melian's review because she wasn't allowed to write more... Honestly, it was a near-total disappointment from beginning to end. If it weren't for the wonderful service at the bar and the masseuse, everything would have been very poor. I've stayed in many hotels in Tucumán, and there's always one or two minor issues, but they're just that, minor details. Here, everything seemed exceptional from the start, with the reservation attempt taking me a WEEK because they didn't answer the landline at any time, nor did they respond to WhatsApp messages, or they would just leave the inquiry unfinished. I insisted on that hotel only because it's well-known in the city and we loved the bar even before we stayed there. But when I had no other option but to go to the reception desk to make a reservation FOR MY WEDDING, I can describe the receptionists' service from beginning to end: it was as if they were doing me a FAVOR to help me. The only time they actually answered the phone after countless calls was when I wanted to inquire about the massage service after I had already booked the room. And whoever answered the phone was incredibly rude and told me that he hadn't responded to my WhatsApp messages about the massage because he hadn't taken my reservation?! He asked me for my number so he could give me the cell phone number of the massage therapist they supposedly outsourced (I'll explain why later). I contacted her, and she very kindly gave me the appointments and asked me to inform reception upon arrival on the day of my reservation that I had made an appointment. We arrived on time for check-in yesterday, and the same person who took my reservation attended to us. She tried to be friendly until I mentioned the massage therapist was coming. Then she started questioning me about who had given me the therapist's number, and her tone and demeanor completely changed, reverting to the "you're doing me a favor by attending to me" attitude. I didn't quite understand the situation, but I can imagine her annoyance stemmed from not being the ones charging me for the massage along with the accommodation, ironically, since they were the ones who provided the number and explicitly stated it was a third-party service. As if arriving at a hotel reception dressed as a bride and being lucky to get a polite "good afternoon" and not even a simple "congratulations" weren't bad enough, among the many reasons for choosing a hotel was the fact that it had a pool. If you book for the first week of September, regardless of the weather in Tucumán, you have high hopes and choose to trust the more expensive hotel because it has "better services," including a pool, rather than the one that could have offered truly good services for a better price, with the added benefit of not having a pool. Yesterday, it was as hot as you'd expect in the province of Tucumán, at the end of October. When I asked how to access the pool, they told me it wasn't open. They seemed to think they didn't owe me an explanation, which I demanded, and they vaguely replied, "It's malfunctioning." Although we paid for a double room, not the suite, it was clear the room had been somewhat renovated, but not enough to have a decent bathtub (and shower) to at least use personally, instead of the sink, with what I always carry in my purse when I go to a hotel: bath salts. I spent the entire time calling reception from 2:30 pm until 7 pm asking for the bathtub plug, until finally the security guard came running up and apologized because my tone of voice was no longer the same as it had been at 2:30 pm.

It's very run down, the rooms and bathrooms are neglected.
We stayed at the hotel with the Mtbtours cycling group, and we felt very well looked after and treated by Gonzalo and his team. We'll be back!
A very good hotel, good location, very good and complete breakfast and dinner.
I'm going to be generous and give it two stars: one for the location and one for the hot water pressure in the shower. In our experience, it's far from being a four-star hotel. The service was unpleasant from the start. We arrived tired, late, and on a holiday. The receptionist, Florencia, assured us that we were obligated to pay VAT even though we were foreigners. We asked to check the VAT and verify this information before paying, but she refused. She also refused to escalate the matter to a supervisor: she simply stated that it couldn't be done and that this was the final decision. To avoid an argument and be able to go and rest, we ended up paying with VAT included. The next day, I went to reception and asked to speak to a supervisor, who confirmed my position and arranged the VAT refund, as should have happened from the beginning. What was unpleasant was Florencia's attitude; she flatly refused to check and confidently maintained that the information was incorrect. Furthermore, we found one of the beds in one of the rooms dirty. The experience in the restaurant was also poor. We arrived at 11:10 PM and were informed that the kitchen closed at 11:20 PM. We understand we were running late, but there were practically no menu options: no red meat, no soup, and no tonic water. To make matters worse, the glasses were dirty, and the waiter, Walter, was rude and served us reluctantly, making our dinner experience very unpleasant. The good location and the shower pressure were the only redeeming features. The cleanliness and, especially, the service fell far short of what one would expect from a hotel that advertises itself as four-star.
Beautiful hotel, well located. Very good breakfast, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The bar food was amazing. Very comfortable rooms. Highly recommended! Thank you, Sebastian and Florencia, for your kindness! P.S. We found the headphones! They were in a backpack 🙏
