ABC Bailão is a downtown São Paulo dance hall on Rua Marquês de Itu, in the República area. It runs in the old bailão tradition: couples actually dance together, partner-style, rather than standing around a DJ booth. The crowd is mostly older gay men plus their admirers, and plenty of regulars have been coming for years.
It's a good alternative to the big Augusta and Consolação clubs if you'd rather dance than pose. Over 300 Google reviewers give it about 4 stars. This part of the centro gets rough late at night, so take a ride-hail to the door and keep your phone out of sight on the street.
