El Internado is listed as a bar and club on the hills above central Valparaíso, close to Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre. Our records disagree on what it is: it's tagged as a gay-friendly mainstream bar, but older text called it a gay bar. With nearly 2,500 Google reviews, it's clearly a busy, well-known spot.
It's open Thursday to Saturday from 20:00, until 02:00 or 03:00, and prices are low. The hills are steep and poorly lit late at night, so take a taxi back.
