SPECTRUM – Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space

SPECTRUM is Waterloo Region's volunteer-run LGBTQ+ community space, based at 283 Duke Street West in downtown Kitchener and serving Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. Founded in 2012, it hosts more than forty peer-support and social groups each month, including trans peer support, a 50-plus group and gatherings for LGBTQ+ newcomers to Canada. It is a community hub, not a bar. From Cambridge it is roughly a 15-minute drive. Group schedules are posted on the website, which is the best place to check what is on before you go.
