I mean it's got everything. Food, drinks, great service, comfortable rooms, and incredible location. The staff is excellent and welcoming! Special shout out to Oswell at the roof bar for hooking us up with recommendations and great service. Would stay and watch a sunset with a breeze again.

We stayed for a weekend birthday celebration and it was amazing. All the places we booked were within walking distance to enjoy.

Location of Palacio Provincial is unbeatable. Rooms are great, the roof top pool are is great. The service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful stay at this centrally located Hotel that is a true 4 star hotel. Food is very good at the restaurants (though not many local Puerto Rican options on the menu). Staff is very friendly and helpful and the manager (Carlos Garcia) is extremely thoughtful especially if you are staying on special occasion. Our shower in our deluxe double queen with terrace did flow water to the floor and wet our mats and the safe didn’t work but otherwise the amenities were well taken care of given the age of the facility. The roof top infinity pool is lovely and the jacuzzi has a perfect temperature. The servers are great at what they do and Oswell was particularly skilled and notices every detail of his customers including ones wearing moonswatch ;). We will be staying here frequently as we visit PR on a semi regular basis.

The hotel is in walking distance of all the best spots in the Old San Juan, PR area which is amazing. However, the quality of their customer service was horrible. We checked in with the front desk at 10:45 am. The time spent checking in was such an uncomfortable experience. We were being asked to pay $200 at check in, after being booked over the phone 2 months ago and having been told a different total price of our stay. Hidden fees that were now being addressed during check in was not communicated properly over the phone during our booking with the initial payment, which I had payed for in advance to avoid this very exact situation. Thankfully we got the situation squared away with the manager, Adriana who was super helpful. She aknowleged no other charges were to be charged to the card on file as long as we payed for all our food and beverages at the hotel upfront with our credit card. This level of communication was superb and I commend her on how well she handled that interaction with grace. We were told we could check in early and were given our room keys. Our girls trip of 3, suddenly became scary as 20 mins later a worker walked into our room while me and my sister were changing our clothes, exposed in only bra and panties on. We were stunned, frozen with surprise and trying to understand how someone had accessed our room at such a vulnerable moment. We immediately notified Adriana about the intrusion and how we felt scared and upset. She lacked any compassion and actually showed irritation with having to see us again. She offered no piece of mind for our safety or our privacy, and talked with such agitation in her tone to us about the incident, stating us checking in early is why we were walked in on while changing. This was an unacceptable response, as it is the job of the resort and it's workers to communicate effectively on who is currently checked in regarding rooms to avoid such a poor and frightening experience. It was rude, especially to me, my sister and mother who were afraid. We definetly disliked the treatment here, as we were left feeling unsure about our choice staying at their resort after all the poor treatment that happened within the first couple hours of our stay. We were never treated like guests and we were not even given a tour or an itinerary of the resort's events, restaurant hours or amenities to kick off our stay. If you're looking for comfort in a place away from home, this resort will definitely have you home sick. No friendliness, zero quiet time, we barely slept. Things go bump in the night, and you hear voices. To make things worse there are Zero microwaves in any of the rooms. Any food you wished to reheat went to waste. Although there is a restaurant on site the atmosphere was boring. This was our first time staying at their resort and it will definetly be our last.

Beautiful small historic hotel in the middle of everything in old San Juan (next door to church where Ponce de Leon is buried). The rooms here were ok, kind of dark, with an old linoleum floor. Size was good, had a fridge and espresso machine, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and nice. The restaurant and courtyard were really nice, with good service. This is a sister hotel to El Convento (with an even more beautiful courtyard / restaurant). Our absolute favorite part of this hotel was the rooftop with a bar, small infinity pool, and hot tub, overlooking the San Juan harbor. Gorgeous, welcoming, fun, great drinks & small plates. We loved coming home to this in the evenings. Only downside -- the pool closes at 7. Why? Staff were never too strict, which was good, but there is no reason it should not be open later. Edgard, Paolo and Zurel were beyond phenomenal among my stay with curating drinks, making sure I was taken care of in the pool and overall satisfaction as a guest. Carlos and Genesis took care of extending my stay with no stress and great customer service and I enjoyed the recommendations and help I received from all hotel staff throughout my stay. The rooms were so beautiful, the food was delicious and the drinks on the rooftop all were reasons I’d visit again.

Great spot. Make sure to ask about beach passes to Isla Verde, complimentary with stay. Raúl at the front desk helped me a lot!
