DuMont's Down Low

I went to a networking event at DuMont’s Down Low and I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve walked past this place a few times and never actually went inside. When I entered the event, I was blown away. First, the food was fantastic. Second, the bartenders and staff were friendly. Third, the cocktails were great. Lastly, I liked the vibes and ambiance in the venue. I absolutely plan on returning here again.

We had a private event hosted here. The vibe was exactly what we needed to have an intimate evening. I have never seen such a large selection of drinks before. I would highly recommend this location for your private events or just to unwind after work.

Be careful when you open a tab here. The bartender added all kinds of additional drinks onto my tab, and they have one of those cardless tab systems where they just swipe your card once and give you your card back to you. I had just gotten one cocktail at the bar and this was a Sunday night before a huge conference on a Monday and forgot to close out before I woke up to like $180 worth of drinks on my tab. I was there for less than an hour, probably like 30 minutes. When I disputed it with them, they called my bank to have it overturned for charges that are not mine. It comes off as a bar with careless or shady bartenders who try to get over on their customers who leave without tabbing out... I would not go there if this is the way they run their business. I also never leave bad reviews, but this is the first time that I've ever had to leave one like this.

Fun whiskey themed speakeasy-styled downstairs bar with great happy hour cocktails Monday - Friday 5-7pm. We loved the Blanche, a beat flavored gingery vodka cocktail named after Blanche DuMont. This warehouse district bar touts more than 70 labels of whiskey. Like the aroma of an old book, the vibe inside Dumont's evokes that sense of breathing in time itself. Take that sophisticated feeling of consuming history by sampling one of the several bourbons stocked in this warehouse district hideout.

Exceptional atmosphere and thoughtfully designed décor. I can already tell this will become one of my favorite spots downtown. Highly recommended — a fantastic bar with skilled and genuinely friendly bartenders delivering a great overall experience.

UPDATE: reached out to them as they asked me to and still nothing back from them. Emails attached 😂 OP: Really hate to do this cause I love this bar and Trevor the bartender is one of my favorites. But I was there on 1/5 and I ordered one margarita, went back and asked for a second, Trevor made me a drink that wasn’t a margarita, since we had built a rapport he thought I’d be cool with that, which I was, but the drink was just okay. Then I saw the bank charge. I walked my tab assuming it be a 20% gratuity charge or whatever they do, I was charged $130.60 for 2 drinks, one of which I didn’t even ask for or really enjoy. Even if the drinks were $15 bucks I should’ve been less than half of that. Tried to call this place numerous times the last few weeks since this happened and the phone just rings infinitely. L Bummer cause I really liked this place.

This place is amazing! Trevor makes the best espresso martini and Ally is so friendly and amazing! Love this place and 100% recommend!
