Gay Community News 於 1973 年在波士頓創刊，成為美國最具影響力的 LGBTQ+ 報紙之一，讀者群遠超紐英倫地區。其辦公室位於波士頓市中心華盛頓街（Washington Street）附近的布羅姆菲爾德街（Bromfield Street）22 號，於 1982 年因縱火案受損。該報隨後搬遷，並持續每週出版至 1992 年。
