Brooklyn Pride, Inc.

Brooklyn Pride, Inc. is a volunteer-run LGBTQ organisation founded in 1996 so that Brooklyn could hold its own Pride instead of everyone crossing to Manhattan. It organises the borough's Pride events in Park Slope each June, including a street festival and an evening parade along Fifth Avenue, usually a week or so before the Manhattan march. There is no public office to visit; the address is a P.O. box. Check the website for this year's dates, volunteer sign-ups and how local businesses and groups can take part.
