Jeffery Pub is one of the longest-running gay bars on Chicago's South Side and has served a largely Black LGBTQ+ crowd for decades. The address on South Jeffery Avenue is in South Shore, south of Hyde Park. It is a neighborhood bar with a dance floor, and older listings note a ladies' night on Fridays. On our listed hours it opens Wednesday to Sunday and runs very late, until 4am on most nights and 5am on Saturday. Sunday opens at noon. It is a long way from the Northside bars, so plan the ride there and back.

Absolutely terrible experience. The staff was rude, disrespectful, and acted like customers were an inconvenience. No professionalism whatsoever. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone save your time and go somewhere that actually values people. Never coming back.!!!! Money hungry !!!!!!
