Pekers is a gay neighbourhood bar at 2615 Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas's main gay district. It opened in May 2007, when longtime bartenders Ron and Frank, who had worked at Phases and Jerry's Side 2, decided to keep running a bar of their own. The crowd is mostly local regulars, often a bit older, and the focus is drinking and conversation.
It opens from noon (11am on Fridays) until 2am every day, which makes it one of the easier daytime drinks on the strip. Other Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs bars are close by. Over 160 Google reviews average 4.5.
