丹佛驕傲節是 The Center on Colfax（該市的 LGBTQ+ 社群中心）每年最大的募款活動，這也大致說明了它的運作方式。這個節慶可追溯至 1974 年 6 月，當時在 Cheesman Park 舉辦了一場小型「gay-in」聚會。之後數十年間，該節慶一直固定在 Civic Center Park 舉行，位於州議會大廈對面。The Center 表示，每年有超過 50 萬人參加丹佛驕傲節。這是主辦方自己的估計數字，涵蓋為期一個月的各項活動，而非僅指某一天的街道遊行。
2026 年的版本改變了形式。由於 Civic Center Park 和 Colfax 大道的施工工程，PrideFest 被迫移至 Broadway 與 Arapahoe Street 之間的 16th Street，而原本為期兩天的節慶改為單日免費活動，於 6 月 28 日星期日舉行，時間為上午 10 點至下午 6 點。Vizzy Denver Pride Parade 於當天上午 9:30 從靠近 Cheesman Park 的 17th Avenue 和 Franklin Street 出發，沿著 17th Avenue 向西前往 Civic Center。Pride 5K 路跑則於 6 月 27 日星期六從 Cheesman Park 起跑。The Center 執行長表示，他們不知道公園的施工何時會完工，因此不要預設 2027 年仍會在 Civic Center Park 舉行。
驕傲週末通常落在 6 月最後一個完整的週末。靠近 16th Street 的市中心飯店最先被訂滿。丹佛海拔約 1,600 公尺，因此 6 月的陽光比預期更強烈：請攜帶水和防曬乳。
資金問題是背後的關鍵因素。2025 年，The Center 表示遊行的經費較前一年下降 62%，短缺約 23 萬美元，因為企業削減了多元共融預算。Axios 發現 Nissan、Target、Verizon 和 Walmart 不在贊助商名單中，而 Molson Coors 仍然留在名單上。2026 年改為單日免費的形式部分基於成本考量，The Center 表示節省下來的費用將用於全年服務。當我們於 2026 年 10 月查證時，尚未公布 2027 年的日期。
