Best place I've stayed in KW, from a cost, service, location and quality standpoint. Can't wait to come back. No notes.

Amazing place!

I wish my husband had checked the reviews of this place because the photos they show on the website are what made him book. The rooms look lovely on the website and the one we got was a disappointment. The bed was comfortable but the headboard was an old wicker thing that wasn't attached to the wall. It was hard to sit in bed and read. The reading lights above the bed did not work. The furniture in the room was from The Golden Girls set, 1980s wicker that hadn't had a cushion change in years. It was uncomfortable to sit on. We had to drag the patio seats inside to have a decent chair and they were not an improvement. The bathroom on the website look luxe with nice showers and nice vanities. Our vanity hardly had room to set a makeup bag on! The shower was narrow and scary and had a shower curtain. Think Motel 6 but not as nice. We had to brush our teeth at the wetbar! The TV was about 12 inches big and looked like an old monitor. There weren't very many hangers to hang out clothes and the "amenities" in the bathroom were some shower gel and some shampoo mounted on the wall and unmarked so who know what you got. I did go buy some shower gel and shampoo and conditioner so I would have it. The blowdryer was tiny and loud. Also, there is no central air so you have ceiling fans that rattle and a very old a/c that was so noisy. Now the upside, it's on a quiet street. Outside the hotel is quite beautiful but there isn't much to do there except swim in a hot pool and I guess nude sunbathe upstairs (we did NOT do that!) The front desk people are quite nice. We were told on the website they had bikes to rent or borrow but my husband checked that out and they told us where to rent bikes. There is a free breakfast of fruit and cereal and yogurt. We went out for breakfast but ate some of the fruit. There is a cute coffee bar and we did avail ourselves to some nice brewed coffee in the morning. So, the upside is great location. Room needs some work and it's a bit of a bait and switch if I'm honest. For the price i would not book here again. We will go back to the Hilton or go to Hotel Marquesa next time.

My husband and I recently visited Key West and stayed at Heron House for a week. We absolutely loved the location and we felt very welcomed by the staff upon arrival!( thanks Greg!) The room was very comfortable and the front staff definitely went above and beyond to find a room last minute for our son who decided to visit for a few days last minute. The room was very charming and comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend wholeheartedly to anyone who wants a perfect location to just about everything on Key West and who loves a beautiful, low-key vibe. Thanks for a great retirement trip experience Heron House!🌴

This is a great spot. The location is prime, off the bustle of Duval and it felt like everything was within a 15 minute walk. The hotel and guests were very quiet, aside from the occasional plane flying over. Staff were very accommodating after I mixed up this with the other Heron Hotel up the road. I stayed in the tropical suite which felt very spacious and bright. Two hard working AC units kept the room feeling perfect. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

You have to pay for hourly parking! So keep that in mind 8f you drive to aline within your budget! Very close to everything, shopping, bars restaurant, museums! Beautiful, quiet, peaceful, safe, and luxurious. A antastic place it you want to see all of Key West.

We stayed here for one night and would have loved to stay longer. You couldn't feel more at home in Key West. Beautiful old buildings, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms, and a delicious breakfast. We got our room two hours before the official check-in time. The owner helps you find free parking. Southernmost Point, Mallory Square, and all the other highlights are within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Old building and limited road side parking, everything else was nice. Quite accessible and on a walking distance to nearby locations.

Absolutely loved! Great location, close to the action, street parking. We checked in late, and a paper with our name was taped to the office door (along with several others) with very clear instructions how to get to our room. The property was beautiful with tropical plants and beautiful structural landscaping. Iguanas, lizards, and cats were on par with the island vibe. We booked the king room with the private balcony and the room was stunning and total island vibes, with a view of the pool, and a neighboring Street where the roosters were roaming. Very clean and very comfortable with high wood beam ceilings and ceiling fans to keep the room very cool. There was breakfast in the morning as well as coffee, however Cuban coffee queen is literally 800 feet away and highly recommend walking there. The staff was super friendly. The pool was cute, great temperature, clean, and there was a basket full of sun products for the guests to use, which was highly impressive. There was a nude sunbathing deck as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend and would definitely return.

My husband and I so enjoyed our stay at Heron House! So close to everything! Room was cute with enough space. Bed was good. There is always a balance between amenities and price and we thought Heron house was perfect for us. Pool was lovely. Other guests and staff very nice. Coffee and breakfast where good. What more could you want!

Nice, older, quiet, definitely needs a good maintenance man and could use a good cleaning. Close to Duval. Street parking is free a couple of blocks over

Very much enjoyed our stay. Will always stay there if it’s available. Great location walking distance to every thing. Clean very clean with a comfy bed and linens. The pool was sparkling clean and not at all cold. The breakfast was so good and gratis! It was quiet there and had a homey feel. The manager was gracious and very nice and welcoming. The price was reasonable and affordable.
