Auld Sweet Olive Bed & Breakfast

Booked with a few friends for a weekend staycation and had such a lovely weekend by the pool, enjoying some peace and quiet in the Marigny in August. Should have stayed longer. Will repeat.

Stayed here for two days and will recommend to my family and friends when they visit! The back area is fantastic with a pool and hot tub, and the inside is beautifully decorated. Rooms are great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was perfect. Definitely preferable to an Airbnb!

We had the best time! It’s an oasis in the middle of NOLA! Walking distance to everything including great restaurants and grocery, not to mention the incredible breakfast and SNACKS! We’ll be back!

We loved our stay at Auld Sweet Olive. The home is spacious, beautifully decorated in the historic period and very comfortable. Our suite was court side to the pool and we had both an interior entrance and an exterior private entrance. We were surprised and delighted by our welcome gifts which included wine, several traditional New Orleans treats and some gift certificates to a local establishment. Breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed meeting the other guests. We explored the shops and restaurants nearby and our other destinations were close as well. Jonell was an amazing hostess who made every aspect of our stay wonderful. We will definitely be back!

This was my BEST lodging experience in New Orleans to date, and I have been visiting the city at least twice a year since 2011. Jonelle was the most incredible, kind, and accommodating host I have ever encountered, and I travel all over the world, often. I will never stay anywhere else in NOLA, can't wait to come back

Our stay at Auld Sweet Olive exceeded my expectations! The innkeeper Jonell went above and beyond to answer our questions, recommend activities, and even helped us call around for dinner reservations. The space is so beautiful and charming, and the king bed in the Sweet Olive room was very comfortable. The pool was a welcome reprieve during the hot summer days. Definitely check out neighborhood spots like Tacolicious, Marie's burgers, & AllWays Lounge. There's a blue bike hub just 2 blocks away if you want to explore the city by bike (highly recommend). I'd stay here again!

Let me start by saying I *never* leave reviews. But I believe in credit where credit is due. And I could not possibly recommend staying here enough. The space is so cozy and beautifully decorated in each room (we were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves our first night so I got to tour some of the other rooms as well), and the shared common spaces are very inviting. It almost feels just like a home. And there’s no shortage of places to relax, be it by the pool or under the canopy, or enjoying a morning coffee and a book on the porch or in the living room like I did. We even had the bonus of having an additional porch outside our private room entrance by staying in the Sweet Olive room—to which they were nice enough to help me switch to ahead of check in so we could have a tub. Which leads me to the part that makes it truly great: the service. Jonell was just an absolutely wonderful host. She gave us a grand tour while checking in, showed us all the amenities (snacks, drinks, appliances, etc), and made sure to let us know we could reach her if we needed anything at all. She even brought us ice cream sandwiches while poolside! How great is that?? Just stellar service and environment all around, and any tourist or local alike would do themselves a service to stay a few days here. Will absolutely be back. Thanks again for the wonderful time, Jonell! PS— DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WAKE UP FOR BREAKFAST. She’ll made us a couple amazing dishes!

What a magical place. I stayed here for four nights in late June/early July and loved it. The place itself is so beautiful and my room was big and bright and relaxing. I loved being able to use the pool during the super hot and steamy days, too. But probably my favorite part of my stay was Jonell, who really prioritizes making everyone feel at home. Her breakfasts are delicious and thoughtful and she's so warm and hospitable in a way that feels so uncommon these days. Thank you, Jonell and Sweet Olive, for such a great stay!

Third time I've enjoyed the hospitality and charm of Auld Sweet Olive B&B. Innkeeper Jonell and her staff make you feel like family. Delicious homemade breakfasts every morning of our stay. Walking distance to the French Quarter and all the musical and culinary delights New Orleans has to offer!

The Auld Sweet Olive Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to stay in New Orleans. We stayed here for a bachelorette party and had the best time! Jonell was so sweet (and fashionable!), and her breakfast each morning was delicious. She was so thoughtful and made us feel at home. Steve was also so kind and helpful. The rooms were immaculate, and the beds were so comfortable. We especially enjoyed lounging in the pool to cool off. The location was also perfect. We easily could walk to take a short drive to Frenchman Street, the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and the Swamp Tours. We highly recommend staying here instead of a hotel. You get the best experience and meet the kindest people.

I booked Auld Sweet Olive B& B for one of my clients visiting for the week for work. TheB&B is perfectly located and it was an amazing stay. The innkeeper, Jonell, was so sweet and informative and even helped promote our fundraiser! Breakfast was great, the pool is amazing and the rooms are very cozy. Can't wait to come back.

TL;DR: This BnB is incredible, book immediately. We were lucky enough to stay at the Sweet Olive during our wedding weekend. We are local, and spent an absurd amount of time trying to find the right bridal suite for our big day. The Laura Suite was the diamond we had been searching for. We ended up loving the BnB so much during our tour, that we advertised it to family, and booked every room for the wedding weekend. We could not be happier with our decision. Every guest loved their room and accomodations. Breakfast was shockingly delicious, the grounds were well maintained and super cute. Our photographers and makeup artists were obsessed with the lighting and details throughout the property. It is such a special place, and extremely comfortable to stay at. On top of the wonderful accommodations, the staff at the BnB were simply divine. Jonnell was so helpful and communicative from start to finish, on top of being an absolute sweetheart who was such a pleasure to be around. Steve was also really fun to chat with and it was so obvious how much they cared for the property. The accommodations were perfect for our wedding weekend logistically, but the heart of the owners and staff were really what put the cherry on top of such a special time. We are so grateful for this experience and cannot recommend the Sweet Olive enough. Thank y'all for being such legends and helping to create the weekend of our dreams. Love, Taylor and Tyler
