The AIDS Memorial Pathway (the AMP) is Seattle's permanent AIDS memorial, a series of public artworks on Capitol Hill between Cal Anderson Park and the Capitol Hill light-rail station on Broadway. It marks the epidemic's impact on the city and the activism and care that grew up in response. The most visible piece is Christopher Paul Jordan's andimgonnamisseverybody on the station plaza. The route is free and open at all hours, and takes about half an hour on foot if you stop at each installation. Capitol Hill is Seattle's gay neighbourhood, so the bars on Pike and Pine are a few minutes away. The website theamp.org has maps and background on each artwork.
