Prism, the Grove’s newest LGBTQ bar and club, opened in early 2022 in the former Monocle space and keeps the crowd dancing with drag and showgirl shows, quick service, and reasonable drinks. 4510 Manchester Avenue puts Prism right at the west end of The Grove. It launched in 2022 after the Monocle left the building, and the venue’s own website still calls it the newest LGBTQ spot in the Grove. The layout is tight and intimate, so the music never feels too loud and the bar stays stocked. Drag and showgirl performances are the main attraction, and reviewers note the bar staff’s speed and the drinks’ fair prices. The club celebrated its third anniversary in January 2025, and a Google rating of 4.6 comes from about 120 reviews. Hours vary by night, so it’s best to check Prism’s social pages for the show schedule. Across the street sits Platypus, while Just John and Rehab are a short walk east.

I had such an amazing experience at PRISIM in St. Louis! I went for a friend’s birthday, and from the moment we walked in, the energy was incredible. The drag show was absolutely phenomenal—every performer brought their own unique style, talent, and personality to the stage. You can tell they truly love what they do, and it made the whole night unforgettable. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere. It was welcoming, fun, and full of good vibes. The owner even came out of their way to come talk to us, which meant a lot and made the experience feel even more personal. It’s not every day you find a place where you feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate, have a great time, and enjoy top-tier entertainment, PRISIM is definitely the spot. We had so much fun and will absolutely be back!
