We stayed one night in July 2026; the setting is magnificent and peaceful. And the room has air conditioning. The service is impeccable...

We had booked a one-night stay by email. Upon arriving on the island, Oumar, the owner, asked us for a favor: that we stay in different accommodation because he had a group that arrived a day later due to a flight problem and no rooms available. The hotel he suggested was supposedly more upscale (a municipal hotel with very poor reviews). In the end, this wasn't the case; our room had a large hole in the ceiling and a water leak in the bathroom. We felt we were understanding, but when it came time to pay, there was no gesture of goodwill to compensate for the inconvenience. This is really unacceptable. On the other hand, the breakfast we had at Maison Augustin Ly was very good.

A very quaint hotel, with a lovely common area where breakfast is served or where you can simply relax. The rooms are okay, perhaps a star more if they were a little less dark and renovated. Overall, the staff is really friendly.

A very pleasant surprise! We booked somewhat by chance and discovered a true haven of peace. The location is ideal, quiet yet close to the House of Slaves and the pier. The air-conditioned rooms are very comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast, included in the price, is very generous with eggs, a dish, or an omelet, and local fruit juice. A big thank you to Modou for his warm welcome, his kindness, and for serving breakfast on the terrace. Excellent value for money. Definitely an address to remember.

I stayed here while visiting Gorée for a week. Although I can’t really compare them to Marriott hotels, they’re pretty good looking at what’s around the area. There’s no pool in this hotel. However, the rooms are pretty spacious and the staff provide an excellent customer service. Big shoutout to Modou for the delicious daily breakfast and always being kind (all of them actually)! I appreciate y’all!!
