PEMA Kenya

PEMA Kenya (Persons Marginalized and Aggrieved in Kenya) is a community organisation founded in Mombasa in 2008, when it started out as the Mombasa Brotherhood. It works on the health, safety and rights of LGBTQ+ people on the Kenyan coast, runs dialogue work with imams and pastors, and co-authored Human Rights Watch's 2015 report on mob violence in the region.
