Great hostel, the receptionist was very kind and always willing to help, which made the stay even better. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, the place is clean, and the bathrooms are well maintained. Also, the location is very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Terrible experience, completely unfair and money-driven These people are basically thieves. They grant credits to some guests but refuse others without any consistency or fairness. For example, someone who simply wanted to go on vacation to the Gold Coast was given a credit with no issue, while I, who had a genuinely valid reason, was denied. It feels like they just want to keep your money, especially since the hostel is always full and they would have no trouble rebooking the bed. On many levels, it’s clear they only care about money. A friend of mine was even kicked out for bringing her e-bike battery inside during heavy rain to keep it safe. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, they used it as an excuse to charge her $350. No empathy, no flexibility. My advice: don’t book too many nights in advance. The moment they have an opportunity to take your money, they will, without hesitation.

Stayed here for 3 nights in a 6 bed mixed dorm. The room wasn’t ready when we came check in at 2pm so we had to wait an extra half hour. The beds were comfortable with curtains and plug sockets, but the room had no window and was noisy as we were near the kitchen. The room had a decent en-suite and there were some bathrooms down the hall too. The common areas were small with a lack of comfy seating, and they all shut at 10pm. Kitchen could also be larger as it got super hot and busy at meal times, and there was no fridge space. Found cockroaches on the floor. Wouldn’t stay again.

Great hotel I stayed here before and came back again. Lots of stuff got improved and the new Manager Emma was sound and really helpful.

I had a really good stay at Summer House Brisbane. The location is super convenient. There’s a grocery store right outside, and it’s easy to get anywhere from here. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Emma at reception gave a really informative and friendly introduction when I arrived, which made settling in easy and made me feel welcome right away. Overall a really good hostel :)

Location is great, dorms and beds are clean. Was very satisfied with 4 female dorm, toilet ensuite. Beware of the food bag labels, staffs took away my food bag twice even with correct labelling.

Enjoyed my stay at summer house!

The location is really great! There are a lot of foreigners and the rooftop view is amazing.
