Universal Sydney is such a great place to be. I usually go there when I feel like dancing and having fun in a safe environment. Strongly recommend it!

This is an amazing place to go! I want to say thank you to all the staff who worked at the nightclub last Saturday night. My friends and I had the best experience. It’s hard to find a safe place to enjoy and have fun with friends, and I definitely found it there.

Last night was my birthday, and I came here with my friends.As soon as the staff, from security to the cloakroom attendants, found out it was my birthday, they welcomed me so warmly and made it such a memorable night for me. Unlike many other clubs I’ve been to, not only in Sydney but around the world, where staff can sometimes seem a bit tense or unfriendly, everyone here was genuinely warm, kind, and amazing. Also, unlike many other venues, even much smaller ones where things often get out of control, this place remained incredibly well-managed despite the huge space and very large crowd. I just wanted to sincerely thank all of you.Sending hugs and kisses to the whole team.Thank you so much, truly.

Dear Management of Universal Sydney, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my removal from Universal Sydney on the night of 04/05 (Sunday to Monday). I was asked to leave the venue under an allegation that I had made a homophobic comment toward another. I want to state clearly and unequivocally that this accusation is false. I was not informed of what exactly I supposedly said, to whom, or in what context. I was given no opportunity to respond, clarify, or defend myself. I was simply told to leave, without any form of explanation or evidence. This lack of transparency and due process is deeply concerning. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I find the accusation not only inaccurate but also personally offensive. I actively support and am part of a diverse community, including close friends who are drag performers and transgender individuals. It is entirely against my values to engage in any form of discrimination. Beyond my personal case, I find this situation especially troubling given the broader context of Oxford Street. Over time, we have seen a reduction in LGBTQ+ spaces in Sydney. Venues like yours play an important role in maintaining inclusive and safe environments. However, inclusivity must also include fairness, accountability, and respect for patrons. Being removed from a venue based solely on an unverified accusation, without investigation or the chance to respond, does not reflect these values. I respectfully request: * A clear explanation of the incident and the specific allegation made against me * Information on the process followed before deciding to remove me * Clarification on your policies regarding complaints and patron removal * Assurance that proper procedures are followed in the future to prevent similar situations I hope you take this matter seriously and respond accordingly.
