Very nice to stay

Average Hilton standard for China. Attentive service and many thanks for the room upgrade. There was nothing to complain about with the room, unlike my previous stay 5 months ago. The service in the Executive Lounge, as before, still has room for improvement, but overall it's OK for the price. However, everyone who provides service at the hotel deserves special mention – they're fantastic. It's also worth mentioning that the overall service offered here is significantly better than, for example, at the Conrad Shanghai, but that's a different story. My recommendation: If you're looking for a hotel in Shanghai, part of the Hilton group, and something a bit more upscale, then this is the place to go. Pros: City center location, reachable in 20-30 minutes. Large rooms, mostly OK. Good service, top-notch front-of-house staff with Harry, Tom, and all the other wonderful people. Decent value for money.

During my recent stay at the hotel, I was pleased to find that it had been thoughtfully refurbished since my last visit over a decade ago. My room on the 8th floor was spacious, clear, and comfortable, offering a beautiful view. The amenities provided exceeded my expectations. However, there were a few areas for improvement that I believe the hotel should consider. Firstly, the chair in the room was uncomfortable for extended seating, which was a concern as I had to work from the room for several hours each day during my week-long stay. Secondly, the minibar items were overpriced, which was a bit disappointing. Thirdly, I was about about to be charged an exorbitant amount to print a booklet, so I gave it up. Fourthly, while the idea of the mailbox located outside the room for package deliveries and laundry services is fantastic, finding someone to inform me of its existence and accessing it was a bit of a challenge. Lastly, I found the hotel's laundry service to be quite expensive, almost equivalent to the cost of the clothes themselves. If guests require laundry services, it would be advisable to find an external alternative. Despite these minor issues, I immensely enjoyed my stay and appreciate the thoughtful refurbishment. I look forward to visiting again in the future.
