Everyone should know this place is Israeli owned, so yoh might want to give your custom elsewhere. Anyway, we booked a villa and when we arrived there was no electricity in the entire villa for the whole first night. The staff were so helpful and tried to do what they could, Charles in particular was brilliant and really helpful and attentive the whole time. The electricity went out again the next day as well. Meant it was quite hard to do anything as it’s cut off from everything, even the shower etc rely on the electric and there’s no phone service at all. The staff were absolutely great and really helpful to sort any issues.

Caring hosts, beautiful villa Liked · The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, checking up on us, explaining everything, and following up all the time. We felt really taken care of. Couldn't ask for better hosts. We were a party of 6 staying in the Bliss 3 bedroom Villa. The villa itself is beautiful and comfortable with a beautiful private pool. We loved that the villa was connected to the hotel, and used the facilities on our last day as we had a later flight. The restaurant has amazing breakfast. Also, they have a hotel puppy resident, for crying out loud!!! 🥹 The cutest 😍 Disliked · The showers are pretty terrible. No water pressure in the whole villa as the water is supplied to the units by a water pump (a very loud water pump). And there was very little hot water in the mainfloor bedrooms. The wifi was in and out a lot, with no reception in one of the rooms at all, and quite spotty reception in the rest of the villa. Although irritating, this would not deter us from going back. The staff more than make up for these little downfalls. Location: excellent location! 150 pesos to Vanilla Beach, and a 5 minute walk to another beach with a great restaurant and sunset views. 200 pesos into the town. Lots of cafes in the area.

Excellent. The staff, the design, the rooms, and the food were all outstanding. The staff is top, professional, proactive and warm! We are truly grateful to the entire team, for their dedication and effort. A special thank-you to Joe for his fantastic energy and for bringing such uplifting energy to our stay! Extremely responsive and accomodating staff! Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, our booking was cancelled with late notice. The staff were very accomodating and offered a full refund with no hassle. I would highly recommend the villas based off this experience!

The Kalumbo villa is beautiful, very IG-able. The bedrooms are spacious with their own large bathrooms, and there is a full additional 3rd bathroom by the pool. The pool is smaller than in the pictures but it is just large enough and pleasant on a hot afternoon. The kitchen is large but there are not enough utensils, plates, and cooking equipment. There is also no microwave. The master bedroom is enormous and beautiful, with an overhead projector but we did not use it. The second bedroom is also beautiful with a large 60 inch tv, but the viewing angle from the bed is very limited due to the position of the tv. The AC in the second bedroom is also very weak and we had to call maintenance to come fix it. We also had no water our last night of booking and morning of check in, but the staff was quick to come assist. They gave us complementary breakfast due to the water issue. The villa is a short walk from the main Happpyness Boutique Resort, and booking at Kalumbo Villa will give you 25% discount for breakfast. Overall, this is a beautiful place to stay and would be almost perfect except for a few minor issues that I hope they fix for future bookings.

My experience at this hotel was: Impeccable service both in the restaurant and at the pool. Special mention to Dada and the manager, Carolina. Location: A 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from the center, and they're inexpensive. Room: The air conditioning worked, the bed was very comfortable, and it was clean. Access to villas 3 and 4 is via a rather dirty, dark, and difficult-to-reach road, and the Wi-Fi only works at the pool, not in the rooms. There's also no cell phone service. (See photos)

Very nice rooms

A cozy room with a beautiful garden. A shared kitchen is available. The downside is the service at the reception desk. There's only one reception desk for several hotels. They charge a security deposit, which was a surprise to us.

After booking, paying, and confirming the reservation (via Agoda), just days before arrival, they canceled it because they said I paid less by booking through a hotel platform. So they didn't want my reservation and canceled it. Be careful booking with them; classism is important to them. P.S. They'll probably reply with the typical: - It's a mistake, we're sorry. - That's not how it is, why? I have all the evidence saved, and what you've done is leave me without accommodation just days before, when prices have gone up significantly. Very "happiness" indeed.

No matter what is the level of service or rooms, I can't give more than a single star to this place. I will start that after paying a 5 star hotel price for the room, at the reception you are actually requested to deposit 2,000 pesos, just in case you will steal anything from the room or drink from the minibar without reporting it...and then, you eat in the place's restaurant and find out that they will charge you 5%!!! for using a credit card for making a cc ayment...now guys, you have to make up your minds, if you want to charge like a 5 star hotel (I paid less at the Grand Hyatt in Manila) you have to behave like ones. 5% on cc payment is not only covering your extra costs (which you should bear like any other hotel which charges like this) but it is actually making extra money on your forign guests that have to pay a lot to withdraw cash from ATMs. Nothing can justify this unethical behavior, and anyone being charged like this should be giving the possible minimum rating to the establishment, no matter if the food is fine and the rooms are nice. Ethics is above all of this, and today this seems to be the only way to make people behave ethically.

We had the best stay at Bliss Villa! The management was great and friendly. Loved that it is part of the resort so room service and cleaning services are available. Special shout out to Dada who made our trip unforgettable with his contagious energy and kindness. Great location. No need to hesitate to book this Villa, just book it and enjoy 😊
