The changing room on the second basement floor reeked of mold. I was shocked. At this price, it smells like mold? Also, some of the baths were slippery, as if they hadn't been cleaned. It wasn't so much unfriendly as just plain rude. The only good thing was the outdoor terrace on the third floor.

Everything was perfect. I didn't speak Korean but was able to communicate. I got the green tea massage. It was definitely worth it

I went to SpaLei on my first night in Seoul, and my experience was pretty bad. The lady at the counter yells at you to take your shoes off immediately—which is fine, but putting a sign at the entrance would prevent guests from feeling attacked. The spa is minimal: don't imagine a thousand rooms with saunas and/or Turkish baths, because you'll be disappointed. NO ONE SPEAK ENGLISH, which was the worst thing: even though everyone in Korea uses the Papago app to communicate with foreigners, they don't here. I had a two-hour treatment—which was expensive, too—and the Ajumma who looked after me kept pointing at me and laughing. It's not the best, and even though the full-body massage was truly impeccable, the fact that I couldn't tell her I was hurting (she squeezed every muscle in my body) made the experience less than pleasant. One last thing: if you're thinking of staying there to fully experience it, DON'T. In theory, it's supposed to be quiet, but in practice, people laugh until late at night. The floor gets hot and steamy, because the sleeping quarters are in a loft. In short, it's definitely an iconic place, but not necessarily.

I recommend it to women who aren't ashamed of their bodies. It's a wonderful and blissful way to relax for the whole day. The scrub is very pleasant, although unique, a bit military-style. I definitely recommend it. The entire facility is clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere is effortless. Entrance through the parking lot lends an aura of mystery and accessibility to those in the know. ;)

Incredible women’s spa in Gangnam. Can’t beat the price - about $20 USD for 8 hours! I personally used the outdoor soaking tub for a couple hours and it was bliss.

Entrance fee 22k won and Body scrub is 40k won and the small sweet rice drink is 4K won.

5 stars does not mean perfect. It means 22k krw = 15 USD is a steal for what you get. You get A LOT for 15 USD. The sechin/jjimjilbang is additional 40k krw so add 27 USD but this is by far worth it!! The spa itself does not give a luxury vibe. It is a women's only bath house vibe. So let that sink in. Remove all expectations of luxury. You are there to clean, sauna, plunge, steam, relax. Amazing: Sechin/jjimjilbang was amazing first experience for a foreigner. I asked for "gentle" and emphasized that and they listened! I have never experienced a complete thorough scrub like this. Totally blown away. They even washed my hair! Good: the sleeping/nap room is dark and quiet. I slept for hours! I went to spa lei 2x just for this nap room. Okay: as other reviewers stated it doesnt feel the most hygienic but I wasnt expecting that. What I would be willing to pay more money for is to add some extra service for the nap room like where you can check out a clean mat and clean blanket and when you are done, you return those things. Instead of laying on a random mat. Now I wish I would've bought the rice drink and sweet potato and eggs but I didnt think to eat there. Next time!

The staff used to be friendly, but they have been unfriendly lately. The concession stand staff were extremely rude, and even the manager didn't respond proactively when I brought it up. Feeling unfairly treated, I never want to go back, so I refunded my remaining six tickets to the concession stand staff. I shudder when I think about how I was treated.

Located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, this women-only sauna boasts unrivaled top-notch facilities! It is perfect for international visitors or those visiting for a hospital tour the next day. It is also a great place to stay for 8 hours to get ready before heading to a wedding in Gangnam-gu! The subway is close by, and there is a taxi stand right at the top floor! There is an ATM on Spa B1 so you can withdraw cash. The sauna, open-air bath, massage, and enzyme steam bath are all excellent! 👍🏻👍🏻 Occasionally, foreigners mistake the seawater steam bath for a swimming pool and wear swimsuits, but swimsuits are NOT allowed. ❌ You must not wear swimsuits. ❌

I visited this spa many times in early 2025 , it was a wonderful experience during that trip. This visit in March 2026 I eneded up with a rash. Also, the place was dirty and not cleaned well at all. The oil massage on 3f put an X in my face and refused me and my daughter service. She was so rude. I guess unless your Korean you cant get the oil massage. The lady at the food/ drink desk also was rude , same with the check in lady. My daughter and I are quiet and respectful also well traveled. There was no reason for the discrimination. The mugwort dirt bath on 3f was amazing and none like it around but its seperate from the spa. The sports massage on B2 was OK but painful and lots of elbows in the spine. I will never return to this place again. I suggest Myeong-dong Mud if your a tourist and you want to be treated with care and respect. They have a way cleaner spa and the massage therapists work on your body with focus and intention, not just throwing elbows !!!
