Van Der Valk Hotel Brussels Airport

After a rough start missing our flight in Amsterdam early morning, rescheduling via brussels to fly the next morning. Checking which hotel too choose after the news. Happy we choose Van Der Valk. Cheyenne from reception for her help and +service, the fantastic team at the bar and restaurant made it so great that we forgot the rough start, they really made it good!! Rooms clean, nice and good beds. Food good but the staff is + top!

Absolutely not satisfied with this Van Der Valk Brussels Airport. And absolutely not comparable to others! Older rooms, dirty bath. A shame... And the so-called shuttle service for an airport hotel only runs until 8 pm. And they call themselves an airport hotel. You pay for everything included, but then you can't make use of it. The breakfast was good, though.

Spacious family rooms, a delicious breakfast, and close to the airport. Perfect!

The hotel is fine, very close to the airport (you can see it from the window). The rooms are large and clean, a coffee machine, a small kettle and small fridge in the room. However, the service is a bit strange. They charged me separately for every service I used and told me that this is “standard practice in hotels” (?). Later, during dinner with a few other people, they split the bill equally among all guests, regardless of who ordered what, whether just drinks or a full dinner. It wasn’t my first business trip, but it was the first time I had encountered service like this. I have mixed feelings about whether I would recommend it to others.

Very rude staff, they don’t even try to be nice, they act like you are the unwanted guest at their own house.

Lack of professionalism, selling more rooms than they have available

As Van Der Valk Loyalty members, we were informed via email !!! that our reservation for this evening is being cancelled because it has not yet been paid in advance, which was clearly not required (and we never have to do), as we were certainly able to pay upon arrival. Consequently, the hotel is fully booked and we are left to fend for ourselves. Thank you for this start to our holiday!

We did really like this hotel, very friendly staff and location is good but just remember you are staying near the airport so their will be some noise. We dodnt have any food so unfortunately cannot comment on this. I would like to add out room was a little dirty when we checked in but we are not the fussy type but I would recommend you check rooms properly before guests check on.

To go on holiday without a care in the world, we specifically booked the Park, Sleep & Fly package. With this, we expect a shuttle service comparable to that of Van der Valk Schiphol, with sufficient and flexible departure times to the airport. To our disappointment, it turns out that tomorrow, May 31st, we have to take the shuttle as early as 09:30, while our flight does not depart until 15:05. Upon our return, on June 9th, we also land at 14:20, meaning the limited schedule does not align well with our journey. Outside the offered shuttle times, it is possible to take a taxi, but this must be booked at your own expense at a rate of €25 per trip. We do not feel this matches the expectations a Park, Sleep & Fly package evokes. In our opinion, the limited departure times of the shuttle are not communicated clearly enough during the booking process. Extending the shuttle times does not seem like a complicated adjustment to us and would significantly improve the service. It is a pity, because the shuttle service is precisely an important part of the reason why we chose this package. As a result, our holiday unfortunately starts with a less positive experience.
