Scandic The Mayor

Scandic The Mayor, formerly Scandic Plaza, is at Banegårdspladsen 14, about 100 metres from Aarhus central station. It has 162 rooms, a 24-hour gym, a sauna and bike rental, and carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Its restaurant, GAST, is recommended by the Michelin Guide. Handy if you arrive by train from Copenhagen; the Latin Quarter is about 15 minutes' walk. It's a mainstream chain hotel, not a gay venue.
