Clean and tidy, service-oriented staff except for the head waiter in the restaurant (surkart), which brings down the rating.

Highly recommended

We spent one night at the Rio Plaza Berlin as a group of four and had a good overall stay. We booked a suite with a double bed and a sofa bed. The room layout was good and practical. However, the sofa bed wasn't really suitable for two people, which was very disappointing. The two bathrooms were a definite plus, which was very convenient for four people. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good and offered a good selection. We would especially like to commend the friendly staff in the breakfast area and at reception. Another advantage is the excellent transport connections. The subway station is easily accessible, providing quick access to the Berlin Olympic Stadium. Restaurants and shopping centers are within walking distance. This makes the hotel suitable for both shopping trips and attending events.

Great hotel with a fantastic view. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. The free parking is definitely a plus. I'd gladly stay again.

So everything was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. The windows could use a cleaning. We found the parking lot access via the elevator in the garage to the hotel to be a negative and off-putting feature. That's not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. We also had the misfortune of both elevators being out of service on our departure day. Six flights of stairs with larger luggage – not a pleasant prospect... We were lucky, as we only had a small amount of luggage with us.

Although it is not a 5-star luxury hotel, I was satisfied because it provided more than the basics for most things a traveler needs. First of all, it is close to a station with many subway lines, and bus routes passing through key areas are located right in front of the hotel, making it convenient to get around. Above all, the kindness of the staff made me feel good and comfortable throughout my trip. I apologize for not remembering the name, but a woman with black hair gave me tremendous help with a personal difficulty (related to mobile carriers). Also, a staff member named Dionysos (apologies for not remembering the exact name) provided me with useful information about the surrounding area, which was very helpful. The staff at the breakfast restaurant remembered my face and greeted me cheerfully every morning, and despite being busy with many people, the restaurant staff all provided professional service. The lady in charge of room service also cleaned my room very quickly and kindly. Compared to East Berlin, there are many modern buildings, so there are many travelers, and shopping was convenient as Kadawe, DM, Rossman, and Haribo are all within a 10-minute walk. Thanks to the kind staff, I made many wonderful memories in Berlin. Thank you.

Freezing rooms during summer, talked to front desk, no remedies.

We stayed for a week. We'd love to come back! Everything you could possibly want, and within walking distance of the city.

The Riu Plaza Berlin has a prime location, and as requested, we received a room on an upper floor overlooking Wittenbergplatz. The large room is very well-equipped. We especially appreciated the spacious bathroom, which has a separate toilet and a very large shower. The breakfast is also highly recommended. The service staff is very friendly and attentive. We also appreciated the free parking in the adjacent parking garage.

Very disappointed that had to check out after one night and choose alternative large room , it feels as If the building was an office building converted ! Not your vacation hotel at all !!
