Kommunikations Centrum Ruhr e.V.

Kommunikations Centrum Ruhr (KCR) is one of the oldest LGBTQ community centres in Germany, active since the early 1970s. It is based in the Langer August socio-cultural building on Braunschweiger Straße in Dortmund's Nordstadt and runs a café, regular groups for gay, lesbian, bi and trans people, meet-ups such as the Queerer Treff, counselling and cultural events. It is a place for community, information and support rather than nightlife. Opening times differ by group and café night, so check the programme on the KCR website before you visit.
