It was my first time at Metropol Sauna and I wasn't disappointed. The facility is spacious and clean, and the staff, especially the bartender, were very attentive. The atmosphere is inviting, and you can relax wonderfully in the various areas, such as the Finnish sauna or the steam room. Highly recommended!

I went to a sauna for the first time on Wednesday evening. Unfortunately, there were hardly any people there, but it was still fun. The welcome was super friendly. I'd gladly come back again in the next few days. So, I definitely recommend it.

Dear Readers, please forgive me, but what recently transpired in the dimly lit chambers of a certain establishment deserves to be recorded with pen and subtle satire. It was a place where—should one be truly destitute—one certainly wouldn't have to go hungry for long. One observes, is observed, joins a threesome here, makes new acquaintances there—and all this happens with the naturalness of a courtly dance, only entirely without music or chaperones. The scene? Surreal. So pristine that even the discerning eye of a governess under the glare of numerous UV lamps wouldn't have missed a single flaw. Every careless misstep was mercilessly exposed. What uncompromising openness! And yet… the furniture seemed to have long since seen better days. A collection of armchairs and loungers, presumably from different centuries—or at least flea markets. The ubiquitous LED strips evoked less of royal elegance and more of the bedroom of a fifteen-year-old boy just beginning to enjoy his first taste of freedom. The steam room was almost entirely dark—presumably so that tender touches wouldn't be obstructed by distracting visibility. Although, as I noted with discreet surprise, groping was happening everywhere anyway. The sauna itself seemed more like a decorative accessory. The truly fascinating scene, however, unfolded in the labyrinthine darkroom area. Like small, silent cats, the gentlemen stalked through the maze. Round after round. Not a word was spoken. Only glances were exchanged—intense, probing, inviting. A barely perceptible nod determined triumph or passage. It was a ballet of need, choreographed in the shadows, directed by silent consent. And while I occasionally found myself part of this peculiar parlor game, I couldn't help but laugh. Not out of derision—no—but out of sheer disbelief at the absurdity of this clandestine operetta. For, my dears, one thing is certain: Seek and ye shall find. Doubt and ye shall observe. And pause and reflect, and you'll recognize with a smile that even the darkest parlors possess their own unique brand of comedy. We were in Frankfurt last weekend and visited the Metropol Sauna. We're from Cologne and therefore quite spoiled when it comes to gay nightlife. There's a cheap parking garage next door. The sauna is very clean, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The facilities are modern and well-maintained. The whirlpool was pleasantly warm (which isn't always the case). The only downside: extremely expensive drinks!

Today was my first time at the Metropol Frankfurt. The facilities, layout, cleanliness, and staff were all excellent, and it was pleasantly warm. The only downside was that during the two hours I was there, there were never more than four or five guests. A real shame.

Always this complaining about it being too cold and worn out. It was a great evening at the weekend. I was visiting Frankfurt and went to the sauna. There were lots of young people there, and of course, the number of people fluctuates, like in other saunas. People come and go, and then later it's full again. It's a great team, and it was a lot of fun. I'll definitely come back for another visit.

Before going to the sauna, I called ahead to ask about the atmosphere. They told me it was very crowded and they had to hang up the phone because of the demand. I thought I'd have a good time, so I went to the sauna around 11 p.m. At the entrance, I asked again if it was full, and they told me "yes." I paid the entrance fee and went in—and it was EMPTY. There were only 6–8 people there. No young people, just me. Inside, it smelled awful and was cold. The staff is dishonest and rude. The people who were there said it was always the same and nobody ever came. I will definitely not go there again. I will choose other saunas.

The tactic of making all justified criticism and negative experiences disappear, cheating and silencing customers, speaks volumes about the truly rotten policies of this establishment. Therefore, the remaining negative reviews here are understandable. No wonder it's never busy. This isn't just hearsay; an acquaintance of mine confirmed it personally. There might be times when it's busier, but the disappointment of wandering alone in the cold whirlpool, empty corridors, and deserted steam room at night is certainly not uncommon. The way customers are treated is truly bizarre. In any case, I'm glad that my friends (except for one) haven't spent any money there yet. I can advise everyone the same, but if someone feels comfortable there: go for it. In any case, I experienced how condescending, intolerant, cowardly, and antisocial they treat you. Especially in the gay apps: blatant ads, but then you get blocked. Intolerance of criticism and cowardly company policy. Sure, I'm never going back there. There's a huge selection of saunas, especially in and around Frankfurt, but I hope I never run into that shady number again. Unfortunately, Buddy is still advertising for them. By the way, correspondence with the manager was completely pointless because, firstly, he's clueless, secondly, he adds information that isn't on the flyers, and thirdly, he offers absolutely no compensation for a disastrous visit. Nothing. It was a waste of time, and I don't want any more correspondence. I know about 30 saunas in Europe, and not a single one has ever dared to treat customers so appallingly and react so stubbornly. Apparently, this confirms their company policy, and I'm right to let others know. You can rant and rave and destroy my opinion, but it doesn't change what others have already written here: no treatment of gay people, deceitful staff, stupid remarks to customers, a yawning emptiness, and misinformation regarding suggested offers. That's true, and all I can say is: don't dare lure people with false promises at CSD.
