La Brasserie is a café-bar on Korai Square in central Heraklion. It is mainstream but is the city's most reliable LGBTQ+-friendly spot. It works as an all-day café. In the evening the crowd turns mixed, and it hosts gay and lesbian parties from time to time. Heraklion has no dedicated gay bar, so gay guides regularly point visitors here. It sits on the pedestrianised Korai and Daidalou strip, the centre's main café and bar lane, so it is an easy first stop for an evening. Expect coffee, cocktails and conversation rather than a club night. Check its Facebook page for upcoming party dates.

A very cute and cozy bar with an exceptionally cool atmosphere. The owner gave us an incredibly warm and friendly welcome, making us feel right at home. We didn't eat anything ourselves, but the dishes we saw other guests enjoying looked delicious. Latin music played in the evening, creating a fantastic vibe. We had a truly wonderful evening and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
