The Beehive at Via Marghera 8 near Termini has been run since 1999 by an American couple whose social-justice and environmental values are woven into the operation. It is not an exclusively gay hostel, but it is widely recommended by gay guides and has a long-standing reputation as one of Rome's most reliably LGBTQ+-welcoming accommodations. The mix of dorms and private rooms keeps prices accessible, and the location near Termini gives excellent transport connections to the rest of the city.
