Spectacular for a family outing.

Family-run hotel in the Algarve, very well located above a quiet beach. Comfortable and spacious facilities with excellent common areas for families to enjoy privacy, security, and tranquility. Good rooms, very pleasant restaurants with good quality food, very friendly and professional staff. A real treat to return to for several years.

The hotel's location is very good, and the beach access is also excellent. However, I had higher expectations for a 5-star hotel. I stayed in a room overlooking the resort, and I felt that the room renovations should go beyond just putting up wallpaper and new furniture. The window frames should be replaced because you can hear a lot of noise from the palm trees. They should inform guests about the doors between the rooms. When it's family, it's fine, but when it's strangers, we don't have privacy. It's strange to be in the room hearing the "roommates" showering or talking as if they were in our room. I also had the misfortune of finding a cockroach in the bathroom of the room. I had already seen in the Booking.com reviews that some people complained about cockroaches in the villas, and I didn't expect to find the same in the rooms. It's not what you expect to find in a 5-star hotel. The carpet in the hallways should be removed or cleaned more regularly. It's full of stains and dirty. Finally, they should also pay attention to the price of water. €4.50 for a 1.5L bottle is too much.

We spent six nights at this hotel. The hotel and the staff are truly excellent. However, it's crucial to know that this is a family hotel. About 80% of the guests were families with small children. We didn't like this at all, as it was very noisy at breakfast and the tables were very close together, making it impossible to find peace and quiet, either there or by the pool. The beach is very narrow and stony. What we found completely incomprehensible was that sun loungers cost €28, while prices across the Algarve are only €15-20. This was truly exorbitant for this stretch of beach, so we always drove to other bays. In conclusion: As a couple, we would not return!
