Best pub in south East london

A nice hotel lovely staff very clean only downfall is the shared toilets and shower. Its also a very easy walk to and from the 02 arena as well which is a plus.

An alright hotel, but definitely not worth the over £150 we paid for one night. The room itself was clean and the staff we spoke to were very kind, but there were too many issues for the price. There’s also a £50 deposit charge that isn’t made very clear when booking - I only knew about it from reading other reviews, and I still haven’t received it back yet. The corridor outside the room had a foul smell, the door handles and locks were loose, and the lock on our room didn’t work at all. We spent around 10 minutes trying to lock it before eventually having to leave it unlocked while we were out, as staff were difficult to find since the hotel is attached to a pub. There was also a loud beeping noise in the hallway throughout the night, and the walls were clearly very thin as we got a knock on the wall from the next room while just talking at a normal volume around 11pm. The shower was strange too - you had to turn it “off” for it to come on, and set the temperature to cold for it to become hot, although it only ever got lukewarm at best. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the money.

We stayed here recently and I would have to say, it caused quite a stressful time. Check in was easy, very nice service and interesting that it is apart of a bar. They do take a £50 deposit which we are yet to receive days later… so hopefully that will come back despite reviews saying otherwise! There were multiple issues with the room. You are unfortunately unlikely to get a good nights sleep due to thin walls with neighbouring rooms and the busy roads. There was a loud and continuous beeping noise in the hallway which went on throughout the night into the morning. We were awoken pretty much every hour. Next, the shower system is extremely disappointing. There was specific settings to follow for the shower, which we followed and still no water. After putting it on different settings as to suggested, the water came out but freezing cold. We were unable to set it to a normal warm temperature as it would just switch between freezing and boiling temperatures whichever setting we chose. We tried the suggested ones on the sign multiple times to no success - so we were unable to shower! Finally, the TV would mute and unmute involuntarily. It is a shame as it looks like a good looking place, and the service at check in was nice. Unfortunately we would not recommend, nor return.
