Richmond Tea Rooms

Was bought an afternoon tea for my birthday from my friend and I’m so glad I was as it was beautiful! The venue is stunning and literally so much to look at it’s crazy! The afternoon tea was lovely! Would definitely return!

I absolutely love the cakes at Richmond Tea Rooms. The coffee & walnut is unrivalled, my friend had the carrot cake was equally complimentary. We did share a biscoff cake, which wasn't as good, slightly dry, but with some pouring cream would go down a treat. I've only been to Manchester twice and both times been to Richmond and will be returns as soon as I can!

Great atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming and attentive. The food is superb. Definitely go again.

Hi We enjoyed our lunch on Saturday but due to staff standing around chatting, we had to wait half an hour before our plates were cleared. This meant we waited 45 minutes for desert. Regards Julie Jones

It was a dream. The decor is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and incredibly beautiful. I couldn't get enough of it. The food selection is wonderful, and vegans are absolutely delighted. Unfortunately, it costs an extra £2, which I find a bit unnecessary, because in what world are vegetables and tofu more expensive than meat? The staff are attentive, so friendly, and lovely. A must-visit when in Manchester.

Service here is always incredible - we visit at least once a year when we’re in Manchester overnight. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Disappointingly not family-friendly. We've called up in advance and made a reservation for 2 adults and 1 infant. When we got there, we were suddenly refused as our child needs her pram. She's one month old and they want us to either make use of the child seat or carry her throughout the meal. Never going there again. We used to go often prior to having a baby. Not anymore. The receptionist was fine and tried to accommodate us. It's the old lady who I assume to be their manager or some sort who was plain RUDE.

Just had a baby shower at Richmond Tea Rooms. The reservation and food orders were easy and organised well in advance of the day. On arrival they helped organise space and areas for presents etc. They couldnt of been more helpful!! They asked if we were ready for food and when we were, the kitchen was well prepared as food arrived a few minutes later. All 12 orders arrived at the same time, some afternoon teas and some from the menu. Overall we had a great afternoon and 100% reccomend to others.

The food here is amazing, excellent quality and reasonably priced. Service also excellent.
