PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING THIS HOTEL!! I will keep this brief I booked with my partner to stay on 1st June , walked in to reception and straight away did not feel welcome by the staff , when I turned around one lady drunk and asleep on the chair with can of strong cider on the table . We arrived early to go shopping asked could we leave our bags at reception and was told no by rude lady on reception . Then asked could we pay to check in early and was told it would be £15 (states on line that it is £10) yet again another rude lady!!called for the manager and he did not help at all , while talking to the Manager the lady asleep woke up and tried to grab my hand bag by mythos point I was not feeling safe and told the manager that I won’t stay here and left and booked premier inn! Contacted customer services and got absolutely no customer service at all . Also I seen that the staff were talking outside to these drunk people and smoking with them . I fi did not feel safe in reception how would I feel safe in my room at this hotel
The staff are brilliant and the rooms are clean and comfortable except some mold around the bath but the WiFi is dreadful. I payed for 3 days of the so called ultimate wifi and have to re-connect anything from every 2-15 minutes. Even pictures on Facebook wont load when it is working and no use trying to watch videos on YouTube. To make matters worse both the staff at the travelodge and virgin know about the problem but nothing has been done and travelodge keeps selling the WiFi fulling knowing it is broken. This is illegal under law to provide a service they charge for fullling knowing it is faulty. To make matters worse you can only complain to travelodge online as they don't want you to phone them at all and took 3 attempts to fill in form due to the dire WiFi!
Rooms were fine, but they make you pay for a lot here! Wifi is only free for half an hour per day (and mobile signal is perhaps intentionally bad), so not good for anybody who wants to use the internet at all! Breakfast is also expensive...
Definitely one of the more run-down and outdated travelodges. However the bed was comfortable, and the shower hot. The internet didn't really work and the data signal was iffy at best. Staff were professional and it was easy to walk to the station from there. Unfortunately my room was very close to what looked like a loading bay so the evenings were very loud.

Stay is always lovely and exactly what's needed - I usually stay overnight weekly solo and the staff are exceptional - namely Maz who goes above and beyond every time. Highly recommend!
