Good beers, nice garden, helpful staff and tasty chips

Great pub to cycle to and from along the river Thames

Nice beer garden by the water, and I managed to get a parking space which was good. Seemed a bit understaffed for bank holiday Monday, so probably a bit stressful for them as there were constant queues for the bar. They told us there was no pale ale behind the bar and it was all in casks beside so we tried it from there but it was warm, and then when we went back it turned out that there was in fact IPA behind the bar that was cold, so not sure what happened there. Reasonable prices but the chips we got were quite a small portion. All that said, it was nice sitting outside with live music when it finally started.

Had a walk along by the river and popped in for drinks on the terrace. It was a really hot day and they have natural shade and plenty of parasols. They had a large selection of ciders. One ladies toilet on the ground floor of the pub. The pub has character.

Great location next to the river and lovely walks both ways. Staff lovely and welcoming. The room was okay, looking out over the river and with a balcony. Bed comfy, lovely towels, complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc, very nice touch. However, overall, would benefit from some upgrading. Food was okay though my caesar salad had far too much dressing on which was a shame.

The Hotel is in a great location, the staff are very nice and it has a reasonable selection of cask ales. However, we have eaten here twice. The first time sandwiches and chips - they were just about OK. The second time I ordered steak and stilton pie and my wife went for the cheese ploughmans. I had to send my meal back as the peas had been over cooked (how did you manage that) and the gravy was cold. When it arrived the pie was extremely disappointing - you could taste the stilton but you had to search for the steak. My wife's ploughmans was served with a salad of which 50% of the lettuce leaves were rotten. We pointed this out to a staff member who apologised but there was no offer of a refund, which is disappointing.

Absolutely shocking experience at The Weir Pub. The service was poor from start to finish — slow, inattentive, and just didn’t seem to care. To make it worse, we got overcharged the second time we went, even though we actually ordered less than before. Makes no sense at all. Felt like we were being taken for mugs. Absolute joke of a place — won’t be going back.
