May 2026
★★★★★
I stayed at the hotel during the first week of May 2026. I made the reservation through Trip.com, as it offered the best rate, which clearly stated that taxes were included.
However, at check-in, I was informed that I had to pay an additional 21% VAT. According to the reception staff, this tax applies to Argentine residents, while foreigners are exempt. I understand that this may be a tax regulation, but if the hotel is aware of this situation (as they indicated, it has happened with other guests), it is surprising that it has not been corrected or properly clarified on the booking platform. As a guest, one trusts the published information, and this discrepancy creates a confusing and unfair experience.
Beyond this inconvenience, the room had some issues that are not typical of the hotel's standard: there was a loose piece of wood, apparently left over from maintenance, and the bidet was not working properly.
On a positive note, I would like to highlight the excellent quality of the breakfast, which was truly very good, and the generally good level of service from the staff during my stay.
The location is convenient during the day, although at night the area is somewhat dark and quiet.
Before leaving, I reported these issues at reception and left my contact information, hoping that someone in charge would get in touch to provide an explanation or at least follow up on the matter. Unfortunately, this did not happen.
My intention with this comment is not only to report what happened, but also to contribute to improvements in these areas, as the overall experience could have been much better. Personally, I left with a feeling of dissatisfaction that I believe could have been avoided with better management.
Regards.
After reading the hotel's response: I am not satisfied with the answer I received. What is due is a refund of the VAT, since Trip.com stated that taxes were included. They continue to make mistakes! They are on the wrong track...
