Praia da Galheta

Praia da Galheta is a protected, undeveloped beach reached by a short trail from Praia Mole in the Lagoa da Conceição area. Because it is secluded and unofficially clothing-optional, it has long been Florianópolis's best-known gay beach, with discreet cruising taking place in the vegetation and dunes behind the sand. There is no infrastructure, so visitors should bring water and be mindful of local etiquette and other beachgoers; as with any outdoor spot, discretion and mutual consent are expected.
