Marcha del Orgullo Cusco (Cusco Pride)

The Marcha del Orgullo Cusco is the Andean city's annual LGBTQ+ Pride march, organised by the local collective K'uychi Ayllu and held each July (separate from Lima's march). Participants gather at Parque Mariscal Gamarra and march down Avenida El Sol, passing the Qorikancha sun temple, to converge on the Plaza de Armas in the historic centre. First held around 2016, it has grown steadily each year and is Cusco's principal act of queer visibility in a region that remains socially conservative and lacks anti-discrimination protections.
