Fairmont Château Laurier

Fairmont Chateau Laurier is the ideal place to stay if you are visiting Ottawa,Ontario, Canada. My recommendation is to use the valet parking with in and out privileges. The hotel is like having your own castle. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city. You can walk to every area of interest such as huge out door park, museums,shopping mall, parliament buildings,markets, and international restaurants. Yes, you can walk to every thing. Fairmont Chateau Laurier is a place you will never ever forget. Hotel staff are nothing but superb. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel is awsome. Don't forget to try the "High Tea"; it is quite an experience. Don't forget to install the Fairmont App on your cellphone because it is user friendly with access to all the hidden features provided by the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful from the outside, I can't imagine what it's like inside.

The rooms and facilities had a very dated feel . The tech in the room felt like it was from the 90’s . The mattress was not good, the tv remote and one of the shower nozzles didn’t work . The air conditioner was very loud . The restaurants were ok but definitely not up to global standards, presentation in the Japanese restaurant was weak. The staff throughout were excellent ! Basically the grand facade and price don’t reflect the hotel itself . Some floors have been renovated .. at least insist on one of those .

Check in staff are nice. Unfortunately my room wasn't clean upon checking in. I steped on broken crackers. Part of the floor was moving. Shower hand doesnt stay put and can fall on your toes if not careful. Someone left a half empty bottle of wine in the cooler. I do have the pictures and gps to prove this.

My stay at the Fairmont Château Laurier was truly exceptional and became part of one of the most meaningful moments of my life. I was in Ottawa to attend a special event at Rideau Hall in recognition of the work our educational initiative, Young Citizens of the World, has done connecting more than 1.5 million students with inspiring leaders from Canada and around the world. As someone who grew up in the small village of Saint-Félix-d'Otis, standing among former Governors General, Prime Ministers, Indigenous leaders, and national figures was both humbling and emotional. Because this was very last minute, there was no way I was going to be able to afford the trip from Vancouver if not for help I received from West Jet for the flight and Château Laurier for the room fare. I will never forget your kindness in upgrading me to a suite. The Château Laurier was the perfect place to stay during this unforgettable occasion. Its historic beauty, warm atmosphere, and unparalleled location beside Parliament Hill and Rideau Hall made the experience feel even more special. Each time I walked through the lobby, I was reminded of the history and significance of the city around me. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the hotel provided a sense of comfort and calm during what was an exciting and sometimes overwhelming week. After long days of meetings and events, it was wonderful to return to such an elegant and peaceful environment. Ottawa will always hold a special place in my heart because of the experiences I had during this visit, and the Fairmont Château Laurier will forever be part of those memories. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Canada's capital, whether for business, history, or a special occasion

Absolutely beautiful hotel in a perfect location near everything in Ottawa. Service was great with nice people who take care of you. But, the rooms are small as well as the bathrooms, but that’s what you get in an old European type hotel. One caution, the tub/shower combo is really a hazard. They need to install something non slip on the floor of the tub. People not mobile enough may find this a real problem. The bottom line, we stayed only two nights, but had a wonderful time. Highly recommend the Fairmont.

Came to visit with my friends and was greeted by the best staff ever!! Shoutout to Patrick for navigating us through the main floor, going out of his way to show us around with pure kindness and awesome energy, and taking the time to tell us about the historical and architectural details about the building. He was absolutely amazing!!
