Plains of Abraham (Plaines d'Abraham)

The Plains of Abraham (Parc des Champs-de-Bataille) is a large national historic park on the cliffs above the St. Lawrence, and its wooded sections, particularly toward the Musee national des beaux-arts du Quebec and the tree-lined slopes near the river, have long been Quebec City's best-known outdoor gay cruising area.

Activity is discreet and picks up after dark during the warmer months. As with any cruising in a public park, use common sense: it is an open, patrolled historic site, so be discreet, stick to areas you can leave easily, and be aware that activity has declined in the app era. Canada has strong legal protections for LGBTQ+ people, but discretion and personal safety still apply.
