The Plains of Abraham (Parc des Champs-de-Bataille) is a large national historic park on the cliffs above the St. Lawrence. Its wooded sections, especially toward the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and the slopes near the river, have long been Quebec City's best-known outdoor gay cruising area. Activity is discreet and mainly after dark in the warmer months, and has thinned out in the app era.
This is a busy, patrolled public park used by families and joggers during the day. Be discreet, stay where you can leave easily, and keep valuables out of sight. Canada's legal protections are strong, but public-decency rules still apply.
