Been coming here since the 90s, when did we turn the corner? The prices for Nachos are insane, over 30$ for glorified chips and cheese... The day staff played old timey music,suitable for a nursing home. I asked politely to please change it, we don't feel comfortable. I asked the female, please accommodate but she refused. We had to ask another staff member for help with changing the music, we wanted to enjoy ourselves in a fun environment- I have never been given a hard time about requesting rock-hey, is this a freakin awesome punk rock bar- NOT ANYMORE

i have been going here for YEARS! and i love this place, the dark yoga upstairs is amazing, it's super accommodating and the food is amazing HUGE portions for an awesome price. the only thing is i wish they would let you pay with credit card and split bills like every other place, but other then that great place to be!

Do not bring that soft energy to College Street. Operationally, the execution here is built on high volume, maximum efficiency & zero bullshit. The staff are seasoned industry veterans who know how to manage a chaotic, packed house of concert-goers, students, and local rock crowds without breaking a sweat. The service is fast, direct, and completely practical. Now, let's talk about the kitchen output. The food here isn’t designed for delicate grazing; it is heavy-duty, high-velocity comfort fuel meant to anchor a long night. Their signature King Crown Nachos are a legendary structural achievement in pub food. We are talking about a massive, high-density mountain of crispy tortilla chips engineered to sustain heavy layers of melted cheese, frijoles, seasoned beef, guacamole & sour cream without turning into a soggy mess. It is an absolute powerhouse of a dish that delivers maximum flavor profile and utility every single time. Upstairs, the venue operates as a pure, high-octane engine for live music. The sound system is raw and heavy, the sightlines are tight & the kinetic energy during a live punk or hardcore set is unmatched in the city. It is loud, it is chaotic, the music has real teeth & it smells exactly like draft beer and hot salsa. It’s an uncompromised, un-sanitized monument to Toronto's music community that has outlasted every passing trend. Total respect.

They do not clean their taps! So avoid the draft beer. Cash only and the nachos are not as they once were. Friendly staff, when they come by.
