Conturce Hostel

Well, I rented it not knowing it was a hostel; it's not the same as a hotel. There's no parking, and I didn't need a code to log in, which Booking.com never gave me. I waited three hours talking to everyone, and in the end, I left broke and sleeping on the street. I don't recommend it.

My experience was amazing! The hostel is well organized and provides all the necessary information in advance. The rooms are cleaned every morning, and the staff is very welcoming. I would especially like to thank Sheila, who helped me so much, was very patient with my English, and assisted me throughout my stay. I also want to thank Edwin, who is an incredible employee, kind, professional, and extremely patient. Thank you, Conturce Hostel! 💛

To be honest, the hostel offers great value for money and the location is excellent. However, I was quite surprised by the way some staff members entered the rooms without knocking, even waking guests up in the process.The first time, a staff member came into the room while I was sleeping, apparently showing the hostel to someone who I assume was a new employee. The second time, I was woken up by staff speaking loudly and complaining about guests sleeping in beds that were not assigned to them. They literally woke me up to ask whether a bag on the top bunk (where nobody was sleeping) belonged to me. Later, they entered the room again, and I pointed out that they should knock before coming in. Guests could be changing clothes, in a towel, or even undressed, so walking into the room without warning feels quite disrespectful of people's privacy. What struck me most was that the guests themselves were generally very considerate and tried to keep noise to a minimum whenever someone was sleeping. The housekeeping staff were also very respectful and careful not to disturb anyone, even when changing sheets or cleaning the room. In contrast, the behaviour of some of the other staff members felt surprisingly unprofessional. At times, it felt more like a summer camp than a hostel.

Workers are amazing, location is perfect. Very well kept and clean.

Everything was pretty great. The staff, Dina, Base and Edwin are super lovely and helpful. Nice location and clean and spacious rooms.
