فندق ريد ليون (Red Lion Inn and Suites Pontoon Beach/St. Louis)

It was just a stop for the night on a very long road trip. Nothing fancy. Affordable and a man a basic room. It was extremely clean. And I never had a platform bed in a stop before ever. It was quite comfortable and the gentleman who checked me in and out was very professional and kind. My only complaint was that I didn't have towels to shower. I only had a bath mat. I did mention it to him bc I didn't want him to think I stole the towels and then charge me. He apologized and it was all good. Thank God I am always prepared with my own towels etc.

They do NOT PROVIDE BLANKETS on the beds. There are 3 sheets. Seriously. And there are only 2 pillows per bed that are so old, they fold them in half the size of sofa pillows. We were traveling in a big group. 5 rooms, for 2 nights. In one room a pillow had a zippered pillow cover instead of a pillow case.....and the zipper was broken. These pillows looked like dollar general pillows that are way beyond their expiration date. THE POOL ISN'T AVAILABLE. They "hope to have it working by next year." Next year!! So much for choosing this place partly so the kids could swim. There is zero soundproofing between the rooms. I could make out actual words from the room next to mine. Whatever you do, don't stay on the 1st floor. The noise from the 2nd floor is unbearable. And if you have to go down (because my phone was broken) and ask them to have the 2nd floor quiet down at 1130 pm, they will assure you that they will. They won't. Just more BSing to get you to go away. One room in our party had to leave early because the fridge leaked, which kept tripping the GFCI outlet and the ac is broken. Front desk said they weren't authorized to refund. Just keep insisting. They're lying. They can do it. They'll just BS you to get you to go away. Speaking of going away. If you need something, don't let them say they'll "look into it" or get it for you and bring it. You won't hear from them again. The TVs are atrocious. The remotes barely change the channels and the guide is ridiculous. This has got to be the cheapest channel setup I have ever seen. They appear to want to run this place as cheaply as possible. Everything screamed cheap.....not inexpensive, cheap.

The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on

I stayed in room 200 and I stayed one night. The staff was very nice, the guest laundry machines did really good, the air conditioner unit seemed to work when it wanted, the refrigerator worked really well, the shower was great as well as the toilet and sink, the bed was pretty decent, pillows and bedding were a lil bit thin, microwave worked really well, so for the most part wasn't too bad. The reason for the lower room score is the TV didn't work the best,all 3 HDMI ports didn't work, went to sleep and the cable and TV was just fine but the silence work me up and the TV was not on and turned it back on the cable was not working it was as if the cable bill wasn't paid, and they offer a indoor pool but isn't operational and hasn't been for quite awhile. If it wasn't for these 2 things I would of left at least 4 star rating the sound proofing was terrible.

Rooms were perfect, clean and well equipped with refrigerators microwave and coffee machine. Bed was comfortable for a rest stop. Perfectly located by the freeway exit.

You can tell that the owner cares about his business.
