Very professional staff that handled a small issue I had extremely well. Big shout out to Toshio and the team! Great hotel would come again!
Great hotel. Every thing was clean and felt modern. Water and coffee by the door was great for running in and out, and the breakfast was absolutely worth it. Staff was wonderful.
We visited Ann Arbor for a conference at the University of Michigan and flew all the way from Hawaiʻi on a red-eye flight. We arrived in town very early, around 9:00 a.m., knowing our rooms likely wouldn’t be ready yet. Tracey at check-in was incredibly courteous and welcoming. She offered us the option of an ADA room that was available immediately or waiting a little longer for our regular room. I truly appreciated her flexibility and willingness to accommodate us. There were three of us traveling from Hawaiʻi, and thanks to the team’s efforts, our rooms were ready by around 10:30 a.m. The hotel itself is beautiful—new, modern, and with a minimalist European-inspired design. Our room was spotless, filled with natural light, and included a small minibar along with two complimentary bottles of water. The amenities throughout the property were thoughtful and much appreciated. The fresh water, coffee, and delicious cookies in the lobby were a wonderful touch. Our housekeeper was fantastic, ensuring that our room was cleaned daily and that all amenities were replenished. The water dispenser and microwave on the floor were also very convenient and added to the overall guest experience. We also tried breakfast downstairs, and it was excellent. The restaurant attendant was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Throughout our stay, I could see the Marriott touches everywhere—from the service to the attention to detail. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would gladly stay here again.
Great location and wonderful staff, but this hotel prices itself on the high end for the local market but delivers a budget-tier room experience. The rooms are small and awkward with no storage. I’ve had three separate stays in different rooms where the entire room completely lost power which required room transfers. If you are deciding between places in town, go to The Vanguard Hotel down the street. They are often priced similarly, but the Vanguard actually delivers a fantastic experience with much larger rooms with high-quality marble and tile finishes. It’s often a much better value.
