FreeState Justice is Maryland's statewide LGBTQ+ legal advocacy organization, with an office at 2601 N Howard Street in Baltimore's Charles North area. It provides direct legal services, runs name and gender-marker change clinics, publishes know-your-rights resources, and does policy advocacy and impact litigation.
It is a legal-services office, not a social venue. Contact it before turning up, as services are mostly by appointment or through scheduled clinics.

I emailed FreeState, a lawyer reached out to me, and agreed to take my case. I was thrilled and so appreciative, but that didn’t last long. Several emails back and forth, most went unanswered, deadlines missed and passed, then nothing! Not a word, no response, no notice! Devastated doesn’t even come close to how I feel.
