Coach Stop Inn

Can't say enough good things about our stay at the Coach Stop Inn! Amanda and Derrick were wonderful and so friendly. We really enjoyed breakfast every morning, and our stay at Coach Stop was clean and comfortable! The location was perfect for us - an easy and quick drive to Acadia for hikes and to Bar Harbor for dinner. 10/10 stay, we will be back!

We had a great time staying at the Coach Stop Inn. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and our dietary restrictions were accomodated. Amanda and Derrick are clearly enthusiastic to bring their vision to this historical inn. We can’t wait to come back!

From start to finish, our stay at The Old Coach House in Bar Harbor was exceptional. Check-in was seamless, and the owners ensured every detail was perfect. The breakfasts were outstanding, and their warm hospitality made us feel truly at home. We left feeling more like friends than guests and are already planning our return visit. Thank you Derrick and Amanda for sharing your place and your time with us! We’re coming back!

This was a great little spot. The new owners are nice to talk to and make a new and interesting breakfast every morning. The rooms are nice and there's a few thoughtful touches such as welcome cookies and some nice bath salts that my wife enjoyed after a long day in Acadia. They have a nice central location so you can go to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and into Ellsworth if you need something Bar Harbor doesn't have.

We visited Acadia National Park (Bar Harbor) for the first time and was looking for a B+B near Bar Harbor and all the activity. The Coach Stop Inn was the only one we saw that came with nothing but 5* reviews and they really held up that standard. We had great communication with the hosts leading up to our trip. Our room was more than we anticipated and very spacious. The food was OFF THE CHART delicious. The host is incredible and we loved our breakfasts. She is so creative and talented. If you need a place to stay, this is it!

We stayed at the Coach Stop Inn for two nights in August. We wish it had been longer. Our room was sparkling clean and when I reported something wrong in the room it was immediately corrected. The breakfasts were gourmet meals. The room, the inn, the owners and the breakfast were first class. Know that the inn is 6 miles out of town. That is actually good news as it's in the woods, very quiet, and away from the noise and hustle of downtown Bar Harbor. It's a beautiful tree lined road to and from the place.

***Under new ownership***. Coach Stop Inn is a lovely experience, with every attention to detail. To our surprise, the owners announced on our first morning at breakfast that the inn has been sold and would change hands that very day! The new owners are a VERY nice and enthusiastic couple and we wish them all the best on their new venture.

This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast, and will make it very hard for others to compare. The Coach Stop Inn is incredibly charming, clean, in a great location for visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor, and also has breakfast so good you will truly be excited to wake up to see what’s on the menu for the day. Anna greets you with a smile, always makes sure you have everything you need, and works with her husband, Jim, to create the dreamiest stay you could imagine. Thank you for giving us such a special experience.

This b&b was a wonderful stay for my boyfriend and I this past weekend. Not only is it extremely convenient to get to and from Acadia National Park, the inn itself is an absolute delight. The inn is right on the #1 line of the Acadia Island Explorer shuttle which goes to the Acadia NP visitor Center and to downtown. It was extremely easy to flag down the shuttle every morning and to have the bus drivers drop us off every evening. We never needed to use our car the entire time we were there. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, and had AC + Netflix, which we really appreciated on the hot days that we were there! The owners are very kind as well - Jim and Anna were so welcoming and willing to answer any questions we had during our stay. We really enjoyed and appreciated our interactions with them! The best part of the stay though was the food. Every breakfast we had was a multi-course delight of fresh ingredients and impeccably made food. So much care was put into every aspect of the dishes - we looked forward to every meal! Anna and Jim have created a lovely, welcoming place, and we can't wait to come back!
