Pride Center of Vermont

Pride Center of Vermont is the state's longtime LGBTQ+ community center, based in Burlington and founded in 1999 (originally the RU12? Community Center). For more than two decades it ran support and social groups, the SafeSpace anti-violence program, sexual-health services and much of Vermont's Pride programming. In October 2025 the center paused operations amid a funding shortfall; a major donation later that year set the stage for a rebuild, and the organization has been reworking its future rather than reopening all services at once. Visitors should check pridecentervt.org for current status before planning a visit, and note that some programs (such as its violence-survivors service) have moved to partner organizations.
