TL;DR: The hotel room was damaged when I got there and one of the staff were rude. (I was there one night in room 211 for $156) So the day before my check in they change my room. They were out of king suites and gave me a double queen. This was fine but not everyone will be okay with that. Anyways, I get to the room. There’s a black splatter stain near the trashcan. Also near the trashcan, the baseboard is torn from the wall. I choose to ignore it. All night, the people above me were stomping loudly. It briefly stopped at 10, started again at 2 am and 5 am. I’d called the front desk at 9. Still this wasn’t their fault so I let it go. I go downstairs at 6 since breakfast is from 6-9 am. No breakfast. The front desk man (who was very kind) says he doesn’t know where she is and calls her, she’s late. She gets there… eventually. I go over at 6:40 since the area was open. The hot foods weren’t out so me and a few other people were getting cereal and yogurt and pastries. A woman, the breakfast lady, comes over rudely and says, “I can’t make breakfast with you all standing there, it’s not done. You need to go. Breakfast will be ready at 7 am.” I ended my stay early (without any paid breakfast).

The rooms are not clean. There Is stains on the sheets, hand prints on the bed headboard, rust and mold all over the shower, and there was no soap in the soap dispensers. So disgusting and disappointing.

Super friendly staff, plenty of parking, lots of restaurants in the area.

1st things 1st the water was scorching hot which for me is an automatic 4 stars. The room was great though, my only issue was there was no microwave in the room.

Clean rooms, friendly service. Hotel has a fun atmosphere. Pool table in the lobby! Breakfast was on point.

Nice hotel. Convenient to Greenbrier. Small rooms, but clean and modern. It was quiet on the fourth floor. They only clean every other day, which was fine by me. Breakfast was excellent - different kinds of eggs and protein each of the four mornings I was there. They have a basic hotel gym with a couple thread mills, up to 50# dumbbells and a multifunction machine with a stack of weights, cables, and adjustable for various resistance positions.

This was by far the worst experience I have had at any Hilton property. We checked in on Friday and were told that housekeeping service was provided every other day. That same information was also listed on the paper we received at check-in and on the notice posted in the room. Despite that, our room was never serviced during our entire stay. When I asked about it on Sunday, I was told that although the written materials said every other day, service was actually every third day. That kind of inconsistency is frustrating and unacceptable. On Monday morning, I specifically asked the front desk to make sure our room was cleaned. The employee even wrote down our room number and assured me it would be taken care of. When we returned later, the room still had not been cleaned. Because we expected housekeeping, we had placed our used towels on the floor and then had to request fresh towels every night. We also ran out of hand soap and toilet paper. These are very basic standards that should never be overlooked. This experience was extremely disappointing and has made me reconsider staying at Tru by Hilton again.
