Parking garage was terrible for a tall vehicle. Pulling into the parking garage the posted height clearance is 7’1”, once inside it changed to 6’9” making it extremely difficult to make it to a parking spot with my truck at 7’

One of the rudest managers i have ever spoken to in any business category This manager spoke to me like I was stupid, was under a criminal investigation and was totally unhelpful when I tried to get help from the staff . The rooftop pool is a pretty view but this is an overpriced property with little substance . The wifi was spotty , the shower mid , the bed uncomfortable and the staff rude .

Great location (walking distance to Plaza) and amazing staff. The pool is wonderful. It is pretty small and not a lot of lounge chairs, so go during the week or get there early in the day. Staff at the pool were 10/10. Rooms need maintenance. The bathroom door was broken on arrival (quickly fixed by staff), and the toilet left a very loud and long grinding noise when flushed. A lot of outlets didn’t work near the bed and the bathroom amenities were out or nearly out and not replenished by housekeeping (body wash, tissues, toilet paper). Beds are small if sharing with friends.

I understand we're not in Silicon Valley, but in today's world, not having Wi-Fi in a hotel room is almost equivalent to not having electricity or running water. That may sound a little dramatic, but for most travelers—especially business travelers—reliable internet is no longer a luxury; it's a basic expectation. After spending a couple of hours in my room trying to troubleshoot the issue, I called the front desk and was informed that there was a hardware problem affecting at least parts of the 6th and 7th floors. The staff offered a $25 hotel credit and later offered to move me to a different room. I appreciate those gestures, but I believe the better customer experience would have been to proactively disclose the issue at check-in and offer a room change before I had unpacked and settled in. Learning about a known problem only after discovering it myself was frustrating. I was also surprised by how basic the room felt. There was no coffee maker in the room, which seems like a small investment for a hotel and a convenience that many guests value. While coffee was available elsewhere in the hotel for purchase, that's not quite the same as being able to make a cup in your room first thing in the morning. Another issue was the shower temperature. Kansas can get hot, yet even with the shower set to its coldest setting, the water remained quite warm. I made every effort to ensure I wasn't operating it incorrectly, but I was never able to get a truly cool shower. Individually, these issues might be minor. Taken together, however, they added up to a disappointing stay. The staff was courteous and did try to make things right, and I appreciate that. Nevertheless, the overall experience fell well short of expectations, and despite the restaurant credit, I will likely choose a different hotel the next time I'm in the area.

This hotel was LOVELY. The room was clean, cool, and quiet. The bed gave me zero back issues (a rarity at my age). The hotel itself had two charming places to eat, but we also walked to several great options over the course of our stay. The hotel is in an easily walkable location to many attractions. I was attending a longer event hosted at the hotel. The catering was incredible. There was a woman hosting our event for the catering via 901 Restaurant, I wish I recalled her name (she had a braid with small flowers in it), who was INCREDIBLE and KIND. Not to be outdone, the front desk crew was warm and generous with local ideas for food and entertainment. Shout out to Ryan J., Tashae, and Tamara for making a business stay feel homey. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have no relationship with The Fontaine hotel other than hosting a 2 1/2-day conference there. From Jashae and Tamara at the front desk, to Ryan, Lorenzo (and his crew), to Alex and Ali, hotel staff helped me with many details to make for a smoother time for me and impressed attendees. I don't know if employees are told to say this, but I heard "I got you" many times as staff helped me get AV set up, people checked in, and set up/break down of meeting spaces. Really! The whole facility is clean and interesting, but the staff all seem to be on the same vibe of really working toward a good experience for guests. Thank you!!!

Location was perfect for our group—
