This was our 4th time staying at the Pineapple Inn and it feels like paradise every time! Even the most expensive hotels in Wailea can't compare with the lovely bird filled garden around the pool. While there are three other guest rooms and a cottage on the property, the place feels like your own private oasis. We first found it mentioned as a "Best Value" on Maui years ago in a a guide book, and after one stay, we could see why. We're never tempted to stay anywhere else! Angie who managed the place during three of our stays has also always managed to make us feel like family--giving us wonderful suggestions and helping us out with various travel issues. We've been lucky enough to stay at a lot of nice hotels in a lot of lovely places, but for us--none have the magic of the Pineapple Inn!

This is never a 3 Star hotel! Such a beautiful place to sleep over night, and theres a beach not that far away. I like this.

The Pineapple Inn is one of our favorites! It is a peaceful paradise! The rooms are immaculate, the grounds and view breathtaking, and the experience unparalleled!

Awesome place!!!! Affordable, owners are great and fabulous atmosphere.

Unfortunately, our experience didn't match the other good reviews. We had several issues with bugs during our stay here and found Angie slow to respond to our text requests for remediation. We had to leave our room on two occasions so that she could come in and "spray," which was quite inconvenient. When we returned, we found a terse note reminding us not to leave food out (there was only a bottle of soda on the counter). The bug problem got increasingly worse over our stay, to the point I was finding bugs in my makeup bag and personal belongings. The morning that we were set to leave, I received text messages from Angie pressuring us to let pest control access our room. This was quite stressful as we were trying to pack. Overall, the grounds were very nice and well maintained. Next time, I would probably choose an Air BnB where the expectations are a little clearer when problems arise.

Steve and Marc run their inn brilliantly, both the exterior of the building, the rooms, and the surroundings – it's top-notch! Wonderful color combinations inside and out, bold with color but never garish, and the cozy, inviting furnishings – a home away from home! This is truly exceptional; we are thrilled! We stayed in the cottage and found it to be perfectly equipped. Thank you, Steve and Marc; bringing a property to this level takes a lot of dedication, and maintaining it requires daily effort – well done!

The room was very nice, though a bit small, but given the price, there's no complaint. The yard was well maintained, but felt a bit too artificial. The location was pretty good, with many things within driving distance, but nothing within walking distance. It was also quite close to the highway, which could be a bit noisy. And shout out to the host Angie, who was super nice and helpful. Overall, the experience was more similar to a traditional hotel than a bed and breakfast. Given the value, I would definitely choose it over any traditional hotel. However, there are rental apartments with competitive prices, full amenities, and more convenient locations.

This is such a TREASURE!! If you’re staying near Kihei or Wailea, this should most definitely be where you stay. So private, beautiful rooms, amazing service, not nearly the big “resort vibes” like most large chains. I was stunned visiting this property and Angie the host was absolutely perfect!! Every time I visit Maui this will forever be my place to stay.

This is the cutest little place and was a perfect jumping off point for adventures around Maui! We stayed in the Pineapple room for 4 nights during our recent vacation and wish we had stayed longer. Everything was very clean, we loved having the welcome snacks and breakfast options, and the private lanai and the backyard pool area is absolutely perfect for relaxing either before or after a long day at the beach or around the island. We often had the whole area to ourselves. Owners live on sight and were so kind and responsive. They have a beautiful view from the hot tub so one highlight of our stay was relaxing in the hot tub while watching the sun set over the ocean!

Pros: It's unique and charming, 0nly 5 rooms. Beautiful grounds, hot tub. Views from 2nd floor. Owners are living onsite to always assist if you need something. Big private balcony. They have beach gear if you need it. Had small fridge stocked with breakfast foods, so you don't have to run out for breakfast each day! Cons: We were there in March, pool was about 70 and wasn't heated, no one used it for the 7 nights we were there. So that was hugely disappointing as we were never told it wouldn't be warmed up so it could be used. You will need a car, located in a residential neighborhood, nothing is walkable.
